BOOKING NOTES, TERMS & CONDITIONS
Important Notes

Payment Notes
Payments by Credit Cards attract a 5% processing fee on the transaction amount.
Bank Transfers must be initiated in ‘OURS’ mode, with all costs borne by the sender. Where this is not possible, a bank charge of $75 must be added per remitted payment transaction.
Bookings are confirmed after receipt of 50% payment of the overall cost of the Safari. Complete payment must be received no less than 45 working days before the start of the Safari.

Travel Insurance
Your safari package does not include Travel Insurance cover. We highly recommend getting yourself a Comprehensive Travel Insurance cover for your trip to Tanzania.
We recommend a Comprehensive Policy that covers: Cancellations and Interruptions, Force Majeure, Travel Delays, Lost or Theft or Damage of Baggage, Baggage Delays, Medical Expenses, and Emergency Medical Evacuation.
We also strongly recommend Emergency Air Evacuation Insurance (Medevac) that covers the various National Park and nearby Airstrips. For more information about Medevac Insurance in Tanzania, please visit https://www.flyingdoctorsafrica.org.
For more information, please seek advice from your preferred insurance provider.

Visa Requirements
Nationals of most countries can get a Visa on Arrival at one of the official entry points to the country (such as the International Airports). Certain Nationalities require a Referral Visa which needs to be applied for before arrival in Tanzania. For a full list of countries and their respective Visa requirements, please the Governments Official Immigration website page on Visa Requirements.
As of November 2018, Tanzania has also introduced the eVisa System to allow visitors of certain nationalities to apply online for a Single Entry or Multiple Entry visa to enter Tanzania. You will receive your visa stamp when you arrive at the Visa on Arrival counter at the port of arrival.
Please visit the Immigration Services Visa Application System for more information.

Luggage Notes
(Baggage and personal effects are at owner’s risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised).

Plastic Bags Ban
The plastic bag ban comes into effect 1st June 2019, and anyone found to be contravening the law is liable for prosecution and can face fines and/or prison time.
It is strongly recommended that all types of plastic bags, zip lock bags or any other type, whether single use or otherwise, be avoided on your Safari and upon your arrival at your port of entry. Non-woven fabric bags and other recyclable non-plastic bags are encouraged.

Road Conditions
Roads inside the National Parks and Conservation areas do not feature any tarmac. All the roads inside the park are dirt roads of varying quality and most often offer a rough ride. While utmost care is always afforded to all guests by the driver/vehicle, discomfort from bumpy roads is inevitable.
For guests with back related problems and/or the elderly who need extra care, please contact the office, and provide such information beforehand so that adequate arrangements can be made, where possible.
The average highway speeds are maintained at between 50-80 kph only. Speeds inside the parks and conservation areas are governed by the relevant park authorities and are strictly adhered to. They range from 50 kph to 25 kph, depending on the area.
All journey times are provided as approximates and may vary during the safari based on road, traffic, weather, and other conditions beyond the control of the operator.

National Park Rules
It is strictly forbidden to disembark from your Safari vehicle while inside the park, except when you are at one of the designated picnic sites.
It is also strictly forbidden to litter in the National Park. Please ensure all litter, if any, is kept stowed away safely for discarding later. A handy bag will be provided in the safari vehicle.
Any fines or penalties applied by park authorities for any rules broken by guests shall be the sole responsibility of the guest.
While we want to provide the best possible game viewing options, it is forbidden for driver guides to stray off the main pathways and into the protected areas. The driver will use his skill and expertise to get you as close as possible to the animal sightings but will not drive off-trail.

Yellow Fever Vaccination Requirements
Vaccination against yellow fever is required to prevent the importation of yellow fever virus into areas which have never reported any case of yellow fever but where the mosquito vector and non-human primate hosts are present. In these settings, vaccination is an entry requirement for all travellers arriving (including airport transit) from countries where there is a risk of yellow fever transmission or any disembarkation to endemic areas after 24 hours. If yellow fever vaccination is contraindicated for medical reasons, a letter of medical exemption is necessary.
For more information, please visit the Official Tanzania Airports Authority page on Health Requirements or visit the Official World Health Organisation page on Yellow Fever.
It is also recommended that you visit your relevant local health authority’s website and identify, and health related requirements associated with travel to Africa.
